The heron is one of my favorite birds. Watching them hunt and catch fish is a lesson in patience.
Cool stump. Looks like elves or hobbits should be around.
baby fawns back here too. i've scared one up the last couple of times. which makes me feel bad.
when you see a great blue heron hunting this river it's just the coolest thing.
I love a photographer who chooses to shoot the feathers rather than the bird. It says volumes about your depth of perception. (That statement probably only makes sense to me, but I stand by it nevertheless!)
