My aunt and uncle live in Sarasota. I've been there. It's nice if you can afford to be there. Otherwise, maybe not.

I have the same problem with all right-wing parody humor. I can't get into Jesus's General or Merkin Patriot at all, because there's just not enough daylight between the fake craziness and the real craziness, which is really creepy-ugly.

(On the other hand, I do have a parody video planned for Sunday that I think is pretty damn funny...)

small doses. fake crazy starts to feel real crazy if you take to much.

What we're doing is driving the right wing crazies off the cliff. By going way over and beyond them, to say things which Stephen Colbert does, forces them to either adopt his completely over-the-top nut idea or argue against it, which they cannot do because they are right wing crazies.

The approach only works because the number of people who will go that far are increasingly small, and increasingly proving themselves to be nuts to everyone else.

Anything which allows us to ridicule the right wing is good, because it saves us from having to fight them.
