And that's really weird about the comments, sorry. I have no explanation except maybe I was updating the post you were trying to comment on. Would that shut it down?

(Back to your car) What an awful experience. Are you insured? Do you have a secret explosive device that will go off on the robbers? What on earth do you do after you call the police and the insurance company? Rent a car?

Laurie, well of course, you don't think i'm going to post the out of focus ones?
i used to pride my self that with film and a 35 mm camera i could shoot a 50 at a 1/4sec. and still be sharp. with this digital camera i'm never sure unless i'm over 125th

oh, ellroon it's too long and complicated to go into, you have essentially captured the essence. it was many years ago, but it did foil my master plan. which was to move to miami and take over the fashion photography world. come to think of it, i sort of doubt that was going to work out.
I know the feeling about the sharpness; although I can never tell for sure whether it's motion blur or bad autofocus. Although when I can't find *any* spot on the photo that appears to be in focus (or if I'm stopped down), I get suspicious.
It also seems as though the photos are much sharper when my ISO is cranked all the way down, even though that should only affect grain, not focus.

A whole new way to photograph orchids--didn't know that was possible, what with the multitude of orchid photos out there. Very masculine. Almost marine looking...
